2015 is off at a great start. Gamers can rejoice and be excited about the possibility of having brand new games on PC and the chance of playing the same games on their multifunctional window phones. Let’s look at the gems that will be keeping us busy in 2015.

  • Grand Theft Auto 5: is a critically acclaimed open world action game and is finally available for Windows from 27 Jan ’15. This new version also includes first person mode and expanded soundtrack
  • Batman Arkham Knight: scheduled to release on June 6 ’15 has already created enough buzz for everyone to mark their calendars. It is an amazing interactive active and this time around the universe is full of baddies that you can punch repeatedly.
  • Very Organized Thief: it is not a combat game but promises to fine tune your training to become a double O seven of sorts by giving you a list of items that you need to retrieve without making any noise.
  • Dark Souls 2 – Scholar of the first sin: it is out on 3 Apr ’15 and set time to dive in the re-mastered version of the Dark Souls 2. Although it is only a year old but the new version promises to be grittier.
  • Dungeon Defenders 2: is out in early 2015. If you have played their 2014 version then you are going to love this one. It is a co-op play where you have to defend yourself by combat.
  • Evolve: is out on Feb 10 ’15. It is touted as the best looking game in 2015. It is very tactical in nature too by letting you form teams, plan evasion etc. It has 11 humans and 1 robot working together as a team.
  • Verdun: is an FPS based game and is out on Feb 2015. There is a lot of combat involved along with shooting as you will be transported to the trenches of World War 1.
  • Star Wars Battle Front: although it is out in October ’15. It has been confirmed that it is a first person shooter for 2015. Gamers have been waiting for something like this for past 10 years. I hope it is worth the wait.
  • The Witcher 3: although 2014 was a golden year for RPG games, 2015 is raring to go as well. It is set to be released on 19 May ’15. Witcher 3 is touted to be 35 times bigger than witcher 2. It heavily borrows creatures from European folklore so beware of fairies and trolls.
  • Dragon Fin Soup: at the core of it, Dragon Fin Soup is a combat game but other pleasant surprises include the main character living on the back of a turtle dragon god. Yes! The whole word exists on his back.

There are many more games that should be on this list but aren’t because either their release date is too late in the year or hasn’t been decided yet.
